And the Best in Show Is . . .

Sadie, the Scottish Terrier. I was rooting for the doberman. Or the whippet. Or the puli. Or the French bulldog. Or the springer spaniel. Or the toy poodle. Or for Sadie. What a delightful group of animals.

I had not watched the Westminster Dog Show before and I must say as sporting events go this is right up there. I even skipped the figure skating at the Olympics to watch this.

Snowpocalypse

The Washington, DC, area is experiencing Snowzilla, predicted to drop more snow on the area (30 inches) than the famed Knickerbocker storm of 1922 (28 inches.) My friend Sarah in Burke has stocked up on essentials (beer, wine, bread.) Although she doesn't mention it, I'm sure she's stocked up on yarn too. I hope she can knit in the dark because when it snows the electricity in Northern Virginia is a sometime thing.
