Sunday was my birthday and we celebrated by going with Isabella and the urban planner to the Spokane Civic Theater to see a musical version of A Christmas Carol. It was splendid.
Then we went to Clinkerdagger's for dinner. On our way out of the Flour Mill, where the restaurant is, we stopped in at Wonders of the World and Wilhelm bought me a sign for my desk: "I have flying monkeys and I'm not afraid to use them."
Which impelled me to request "The Wizard of Oz" from Netflix. Last night we watched it - and if you haven't seen it lately, you need to do that. They have spent years working on cleaning the film and clearing up the sound. It's a gorgeous movie.
