Like you I have read Sense and Sensibility many times. I love Elinor's dead leaves quote! She is my favourite Austen heroine.


I love this insight re walking vs. carriages. I was planning on a re-read of Persuasion, and will now do so with an eye for these virtuous pedestrians. (A "long walk" provides the setting for a pivotal extended scene ...)
